Magazine Project Genre Research #2
The second magazine I chose was Harper's Bazaar. This magazine publishes similar content as Vogue. However, Harper's Bazaar contains a significant amount of articles and personal items.
I chose the July 2018 Harper's Bazaar issue- Gigi Hadid as the cover star (once again). It is a close-up shot of her face- pink and purple-toned makeup and "outfit". On the cover, one line says "the Gigi you don't know", showing how it is more personal. It is also filled with text, representing article titles and catch lines. Inside, it is filled with many articles: "diary" entries, go-to's, and interviews. Harper's Bazaar has less ads when compared to Vogue.
