Project Selection: Film

Producing a film can be challenging, but enjoyable. The idea of being able to choose your cast and the plot of your film is intriguing. Out of all the films we viewed in class, my favorite has to be the Newsroom. I felt that I could relate to several characters on different levels/aspects and the way the producer directed the scenes made it highly believable. The plot was also very easy to follow, but at the same time, I was always on my toes. Skills that I possess that would make the film project a good fit for me are, possessing leadership in a group of people and having a "creative-eye". However, the challenge for me is working with the software- cutting, editing, ans adding clips. I have never learned how to use any software related to film making- not even the simplest of them all: IMovie.
