The target audience is similar to mine because of the income levels and age, once again. However, the average age viewings for this magazine is much younger (smaller range).

Shape markets their products and magazine as a whole. An example of marketing for them would be the frequent emails they send out to anyone who has willingly given their information out. These emails contain updates on articles and news (that is featured in the magazine, of course) These emails also contain links that bring a viewer straight to the online version of the magazine. To attract viewers, Shape uses multiple forms of colorful and bold text, as well as pictures (grab attention)

I think advertising and marketing in the form of emails is savvy. However, magazines could lose viewers if the emails being sent are too excessive. I would market my products through emails, but i would limit the emails sent to a minimum.
