How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

At the beginning of creating my blog, I was very hesitant and quite worried because I felt as if I wasn't skilled enough to take professional photos for my magazine, let alone make a magazine that looked professional. To better educate myself on the types of photos I needed and how to take them, I researched several magazines that are in the same "genre" as mine and compared their shots. I also researched different camera angles and looked at ones specifically used for the pictures I would be taking: product shots and two-shots (examples).
I learned how to use Pages by Apple more efficiently as well as Adobe simply by practicing. I used these programs to layout my magazine and edit my photos. It's surprising how effective these programs are in assisting the quality of a magazine/picture. With my magazine generally about beauty and focused on skin, it was absolutely necessary to have precise photos, capturing my product(s) and the people who are the masterminds of creating them.
